It is described as highly concentrated, which makes it economical when diluted correctly.
-
The product type is “water-based detergent” (i.e. not a solvent-based stripper).
-

🔧 Usage & Application Guidelines
Based on the manufacturer’s Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for Polistrip NA:
Dilution & Duty Levels
-
Light-duty stripping (low-traffic or light build-up): dilute approximately 50 ml per liter of water (≈ 1:20, or 5% solution). Mop and apply, let sit about 10 minutes, then scrub with a black scrubbing pad. After stripping, thoroughly rinse and follow up with a neutralizer (for example, the brand’s floor neutralizer) before re-sealing.
-
Medium to heavy-duty stripping (high-traffic or heavy polish build-up): dilute about 200 ml per liter of water (≈ 1:5, or 20% solution), apply, soak ~10 minutes, scrub with a black pad, then rinse thoroughly.
Procedure: Always use a black scrubbing pad for best results. After stripping and scrubbing, rinse multiple times and then clean the floor with a neutralizer before re-applying any floor polish or sealer.
⚠️ Safety & Handling / Technical Considerations
According to the TDS for Polistrip NA:
-
The product is alkaline, with a pH in the range 12.0 – 14.0 (i.e. strongly basic).
-
Because of its high alkalinity:
-
Avoid skin contact — wear industrial gloves and protective clothing. For skin contact: rinse immediately with plenty of water (≥ 15 min).
-
Avoid eye contact — wear safety goggles. If contact occurs flush eyes with plenty of water (≥ 15 min) and seek medical assistance.
-
Use adequate ventilation, and if inhaling vapors — use a proper respirator mask (especially in enclosed spaces), as inhalation may irritate the respiratory system or cause burns.
-
Do not ingest. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
-
Do not mix with acids (or products with acidic pH).
-
Do not store in containers made of tin, aluminum, brass, zinc, or alloys thereof. Use suitable plastic / resistant containers.
-
Store sealed, away from direct sunlight and at temperature below 35 °C. Shelf life (sealed): up to 2 years. Keep away from children.
-
✅ When & Where Polistrip NA Is Used (Typical Use Cases)
-
For removing old acrylic/polymer floor dressings or sealers from vinyl, terrazzo, sealed concrete, ceramic- or polymer-coated floors — to prepare floors for re-sealing or recoating.
-
Suitable for commercial, hospitality, institutional or facility-management settings — e.g. hotels, office buildings, hospitals, schools, large complexes — anywhere floors get polymer coatings and require periodic stripping and re-polishing.
-
Because it’s water-based, concentrated and ammonia-free, it’s a “safer” stripper (in terms of odor and harshness) compared to older solvent- or heavy-ammonia based strippers — while still effective when used per instructions.
🧾 Summary (Condensed)
Polistrip NA is non-ammoniated, concentrated alkaline floor stripper — designed to remove acrylic/polymer floor polishes and dressings. It’s available in sizes from 1 L retail bottles up to 1000 L industrial bulk containers. When diluted properly (5 % to 20 % depending on buildup), applied with a mop or bucket, and scrubbed with a black pad, it effectively strips old polish. After stripping, floors must be rinsed thoroughly, neutralized, and re-sealed. Because of its high alkalinity, protective gear and safe handling are mandatory.
